I write on general science, and computer-related topics specialising in computer graphics, advanced human-computer interfaces, virtual environments, and the Web. Also pseudoscience, the paranormal and Forteana.

The Skeptic magazine

From 1989 to 1998 I co-edited The Skeptic magazine, which was founded by Wendy Grossman in 1986. The Skeptic continues to flourish under the editorship of Prof Chris French and Victoria Hamilton of the Anomalistic Psychology Unit at Goldsmith's College, London. In August 2005 I rejoined the magazine as co-Reviews Editor.


Personal Computer World

From 1996 to 2001 I wrote monthly Columns for the "Futures" section of Personal Computer World magazine.
