My research interests centre around the development and use of models in model-driven software development. This is now based on the technologies that are available from the Eclipse Modeling Project. In the past it was focused on the ISO STEP information modelling language EXPRESS. I have overseen the development of parsers, semantic checkers and code-generators.
The application areas to which these are applied currently include networking, business process modelling and website development. However, the technologies are flexible, and the application areas can be expanded to encompass the interests of good students.
