Research funding

Principle Investigator for the £300K, Greek General Secretariat for Research & Technology funded project on “Software system quality evaluation based on the ISO 9126 standard”. The aim of this project was the research and development of an original and integrated tool supported methodology, which is used for the evaluation of a software system based on the ISO-9126 standard. This was a collaboration with the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics at the University of Patras and Dynacomp SA. Christos lead a team comprising 5 researchers. The project produced 3 conference papers (1, 2, 3) and 2 journal papers (4, 5).

Co-Investigator in the £65K, EPSRC funded grant: “SOSoRNet: Service-Oriented Software Research Network”. The Network aiming at building an interdisciplinary and self-sustaining international community of researchers and practitioners leading the development and deployment of service-oriented software technologies.

Lead Academic in a £100K, DTi funded KTP project on developing a diagnostic framework, hardware and software tools to increase speed and efficiency in data recovery with Data Clinic Ltd.

Lead Academic in a £100K, DTi funded, KTP project on strategic development, maintenance and evolution of existing network management software with ACCODA LTD. The project aims included integrating existing products into the MS.Net operating platform providing for NPD introduction and BPR improvements and produced one conference paper.

Knowledge Base Adviser in a £100K, DTi funded KTP project on developing new software tools and methodologies to deliver the next generation of products with PAS Ltd.

Co-Investigator in an E-learning project funded by the University of Manchester, aiming at facilitating and evaluating academic team working through Web-based collaboration.

External Collaborator in a Health Association Rule Mining project, with the School of Computing, Liverpool Hope University, which produced one conference paper.

Data mining specialist for the £1M JISC, BBSRC & EPSRC funded National Centre of Text Mining.

Advisor for a £120K, EPSRC funded, TCS project on Knowledge Management, Data and Text Mining with Premier Systems Technology Ltd.
