Who am I?
I am currently a Research Assistant(RA) with the Informatices Process Group (IPG) at the University of Manchester. I came from a small town called Seremban in Malaysia. Being in my final year of my Phd, I am basically writing up now.
I have a Bsc(Hons 1st class) in Computation from UMIST in 1996. After which I went back to Malaysia to work as an Analyst Programmer and Software Engineer for two years. I came back in 1999 and got my MPhil in Computer Science in 2000 from the University of Manchester.
What I am doing?
Working as an RA in the ArchWare project.
Phd in Software Engineering at the
Department of Computer Science
,
University of Manchester
.
I am basically writing up now. It is basically crunch period here so, life is just about reading, thinking and writing for now.
What I am interested in?
Ways to construct effective Software Engineering Environments
Specific areas of interests include:-
Process Programming
Evolution Support
Architecture Driven Software Construction
Current Work
I am currently researching means to build an virtual machine to support enactable models for a formal ADL called pi-space.
Completed Work
I have built the
Rational(tm) Unified Process model using a Generic Software Process Model Framework called the Towers Model developed by the (IPG) at the University of Manchester.
From this exercise, the Towers Model were evaluated on the basis of how generic it is for modelling a real-world software process framework.
I have submitted and was awarded an MPhil in Computer Science for my thesis titled An Evaluation of A Generic Software Process Framework. You can download a .ps.gz version from here.
