Haiku

The traditional Japanese form of Haiku provides a rich vehicle for poetic expression. As with many seemingly simple things, complexity lurks in the shallows beneath the surface.
To fit with the division into three lines of five, seven and five syllables respectively, it is often necessary to dispense with the rules of traditional grammar, leading to a terse, yet expressive format. Through the addition of hyperlinks, lost structure can be regained and a new organisation appears. Each word leads to a new use and context, exposing a multiplicity of semantics.
While browsing these works, one gains an insight into the connectedness of the world, and the desire within us all to impose meaning where there is only apparent randomness.  read
