Module description

Information about the aims and learning outcomes of the module, reading material, assessment, and the syllabus.

Locations and times

In week 1 (7 - 11 October) lectures will start at 9:30 every day.

Venue for lectures: LF12.

Venue for lab exercises in week 1: MSc lab.

NOTE:

Principally you can do your assignments on any machine in any student lab in the Department, provided this does not cause interference with officially scheduled classes. (You can of course do the assignments outside the Department, as long as you ensure your program compiles and works under Linux).

Demonstrator timetable for week 2 - Information of when and where demonstrators will be available for consultation.

The CS510 directory on the Department's Linux PCs is

There you will find model solutions of the lab exercises and files needed for the coursework, once the course has started.

Coursework

For full time students the deadline for submitting the coursework is Monday, the 4th of November 2002.

For part-time students the deadline for submitting the coursework is Monday, 10th of January 2003.
