Iceland is justly known for its beautiful waterfalls.

Gullfoss, in the Golden Circle, not too far from Reykjavik. It was almost 22.00 when these pictures were taken!

Hraunafossar The Hraunafossar consist of a fairly large width of water which seems to magically appear out of the lava.

In the Jokulsargljufur you find the most powerful waterfalls in Europe.

There are Hafragilsfoss, Hafragilsfoss
Sellfoss Sellfoss,
And the mightiest of them all, Dettifoss. The nice rainbow pictures were taken by my fellow traveller Juergen who looked after my camera while I was busy getting wet in the spray. I am the left-most figure in the group standing at the end of the rainbow. Dettifoss, detail
