The aim of this programme is to provide students with a state-of-the-art knowledge, understanding, and skills in the area of Advanced Computer Science and IT management. It has been developed with input from our industrial partners and the Manchester Business School (MBS), and is taught in collaboration with MBS.
The strategic importance of information technology in the growth and development of organisations and companies has become apparent with the huge expansion in the use of the Internet and e-commerce activities. This MSc programme is aimed at the growing demand for specialists who can use their understanding and knowledge of new and future technologies to manage the strategic development of information technology within user industries.
In light of the continuing development and growing significance of the field of information and data management, this year we introduce a new pathway (Information management) in this programme (see below).
The MSc is managed within the existing framework of the MSc in Advanced Computer Science. Students select themes and thereby course units from the existing advanced portfolio together with specialist management course units.
