NoneI use different ad-hoc bits of code and web-pages to manage my 3rd-year projects through the various steps, including:
- capturing ideas for projects throughout the year (e.g. bookmarking web-pages)
- preparing project descriptions for the new academic year: [e.g.]
- from new ideas (captured as above, or otherwise), or
- reusing and updating projects from previous years
- recording interest in my projects during student selection (to guide the production of project descriptions for next year) [e.g.]
- creating a list of my projects that have been allocated to students
- tracking student attendance and progress during the academic year [e.g.]
This could be constructed as either a single system or a set of cooperating sub-systems, running on Linux and/or the web. I imagine it containing some sort of repository (data-base) of all of my projects, including information such as popularity, whether/when it was allocated, and (the different versions of) the project description. This repository can then be accessed by the system or sub-systems to create different views (for me, for students, etc.) and to change the information contained (e.g. attendance, or updating a project description).
