Try to do each part yourself, without referring to the hints.
If you get stuck, try and think about what you want to achieve and how you might go about achieving it - even if you don't know exactly how to write it down - before you look at the hints.
If you look at the hints immediately you start a new part, you are wasting your time, and setting yourself up for bigger problems later on.
