Some biographical data
I was born in Kavala
, a picturesque city northeast of Greece. I grew up
in Athens where I spent most of my teen years. I moved to Xanthi
due to my university studies where I lived through July of 2002. During
this time period, I received the Bachelorís and Masterís degree from the
Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the Democritus Univ. of Thrace
Greece. In September of 2002, I joined the ECE department of the Univ. of Rochester
, Rochester, NY, USA.
Under the supervision of Professor Eby G.
, I graduated in 2008 with the PhD degree from the Univ. of
Rochester. I also received a Masterís degree from the same university in 2003. From September of 2008 to August 2012, I
worked for Professor Giovanni De Micheli
post-doctoral researcher at the Integrated
(LSI) at EPFL
Beyond the strictly technical issues, my philosophy is to prepare students
for a competitive job market by guiding them to deliver novel research results and to equip
them with those skills required to confront
related challenges and be succesful within academia or the industrial sector.
