Research Interests

·             Study the fundamental principles of symmetry and symmetry-breaking and their implications in programming and software design;

·             Study and develop fundamental concepts and patterns that underlie software construction;

·             Develop practical approaches that use patterns to aid the analysis, design, implementation, and evolution of software systems;

·             Study novel software engineering approaches to understand (1) how they achieve reliable and evolvable software; (2) how they support software reuse and maintenance; (3) how they improve software productivity. 

Current Projects

·         Patterns for e-business (in collaboration with IBM)

·         Pattern-driven software development (in collaboration with IBM)

·         Architectural support for service composition (Funded by NXP Semiconductors Lab—formerly Philips Semiconductors Lab)
