School of Computer Science

Darren Lunn

I am a research associate in the Information Management Group’s Web Ergonomics Lab. My research centres on the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, hypermedia, and the Web. My overarching focus is understanding how large information repositories can be made available to all users, regardless of ability or the medium they use to access the information.

I have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Manchester’s School of Computer Science. After that, I then decided that I wanted to do something other than computing, so went to teach English in Japan for almost 2 years. After teaching, I returned back to the University of Manchester to study for a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer Science. Since then I have completed a PhD under the supervision of Sean Bechoffer and Dr Simon Harper.
