Component Metadata in Component-based Software Development: A Survey

Abstract:

We present a survey of systems utilizing component metadata for
different tasks. Subsequently, we identify key properties of
metadata usage and align the systems according to that properties.
The survey reveals areas in Component-Based Software Development
(CBSD) still untackled and open for further research.
