Extraction of Hydrographic Regions from Remote Sesing Images Using an
Oscillator Network with Weight Adaptation
ABSTRACT
We propose a framework for object extraction with accurate boundaries.
A multilayer perceptron is used to identify seed points through examples,
and regions are extracted and localized using a locally coupled network
with weight adaptation. A functional system has been developed and applied to
hydrographic region extraction from Digital Orthophoto Quarter-Quadrangle
images.
