From 2000-2002, I was an external examiner of MPhil theses in Information Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2004, I am an external examiner of Master Research theses in Electrical and Electrionic Engineering, The Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

In 2011 and 2012, I was an external academic adviser for UG and PGT/PGR five-year periodic review of School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex, respectively.
