Me at some place in fallowfield

“Just Chillin’”

My name is Lloyd Wallace Henning, born 4th of February 1989 and raised on the green pastures of Ol' Blighty, I am currently a Research Assistant in the Machine Learning and Optimisation group in the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester.

I am currently working on the Reunite Project, which aims to build a system that helps people find their missing loved ones after a humanitarian disaster.

I have a couple of other things that I'm working on, namely a ground breaking, genre defying game RGBRPG (that's Red Green Blue Role Playing Game). It's essentially a colouring in game and the source code can be found here. You can also read a very neglected blog.

I partook in a hackathon in Birmingham in October 2010 and helped create an application that allowed people in a disaster area to send an SMS message to a number and have their nearest safe "muster" point sent back to them (via SMS of course). The SMS server was implemented as an android application and the source can be found here

I was a participant in the 2010 Microsoft Imagine Cup. "The Olive Appreciation Society" was a team composed of myself and Peter Sutton, we somehow managed to win the UK round and went got to go to the Global finals in Warsaw, Poland, which was nice. It was the foundations of the Reunite Project and if you want to see some really bad code you burn your retinas here.

I also write for the student newspaper, as Food and Drink editor, my main focus is ensuring that I target the student demographic; hence the behemoth, the pizza burger.
