I'm a research fellow with the Information Management Group at Manchester University. I'm currently employed on a 3 year EPSRC funded project called Tripod, which aims to create an ODMG-compliant spatio-temporal object database management system. Previously I worked on another EPSRC funded project called Teallach, which automatically generated user interfaces to object database applications using model-based techniques. My PhD. developed an algebra and query language for relational DBMSs which paid particular attention to relative time and temporal indeterminacy. This work was supervised by Babis Theodoulidis at UMIST.
I acted as co-editor and organiser of the first user interfaces to data intensive systems (UIDIS'99) workshop held in Edinburgh in 1999.
