I am a research associate in the Information Management Group of the Computer Science Department of the University of Manchester, working on the Polar* (pronounced as Polar Star), OGSA-DQP and CoreGrid projects.

I graduated with a PhD from the School of Computer Science of the University of Manchester in 2005. I also gaduated from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1999 (BSc), and from the Dept. of Computation, UMIST, Manchester, UK, in 2002 (MPhil).

My research interests are in the area of adaptive query processing, Grid computing, distributed DBMSs, and resource scheduling.
