Alex Qiang Chen
Before becoming a PhD student, I did my Bachelors degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds. After that, I wanted to gain some working experience in the electronic engineering field, so I took on a research project for almost a year with Tracerco and the University of Leeds. The project investigates into methods using ultrasound for measuring non-invasively, the separation process occuring in oil and gas separation. I then decided that I want to focus on computing, and how can computational processes be integrated with the Web. So I came to the University of Manchester and did a Masters degree in Advanced Computer Science. Currently my research investigates into challenging issues the Web faced - you can read more about my research by clicking on "Research" in the left menu.
