Between The Lines

BBC drama series set around the Complaints Investigation Bureau of the Metropolitan
police.
This page is an enhanced form of Dave Chapman's Tardis page and points to
his Episode Guides.
The most FAQ is..."is there going to be a 4th series"...and the answer is "highly unlikely".
Originally more series were planned, but the actors only had 3 year contracts and
weren't that enamoured with the direction the show took in the 3rd series, so
didn't renew their contracts. Anyway that is Neil's version, straight from the
horse's mouth :-).
Re-transmissions
- UK Gold weekdays (Mon-Thurs) after midnight. Currently (19th May 99) mid way through 3rd series
- UK Gold until Monday 8th June 1998
- TV-Ontario nightly at midnight, during the summer starting the week of Monday June 9th, 1997
- Asia TV World Channel at 1.30am on Wednesday mornings in 1996
- Canadian Knowledge Network, finishing 26th June 1996. Howeverthe network was so deluged with fans that it was
re-broadcast in its entirety from Sept 29th 1996. I've included links to their fabulous pages summarising the
episodes. Check out their BTL web page .

In Ontario (I don't know about the rest of Canada) it is broadcast on Wednesday
evenings under the name "Inside the Line". They must have redone
the opening titles because it does say "Inside the Line" on bands
of text on the bottom and top of the screen. It is broadcast on publicly
funded TVOntario, or TVO as it is known. TVO's "Between the Lines"
is a weekly public affairs/panel show hosted by tv anchor Steve Paikin.
(Thanks to Simon Blackstone for that info.)
The cast lists are taken from the on-screen credits and are complete for
every episode. Thanks a lot to Robert Buckley for completing the Season
2 listings.
