The `Manchester Commuter Challenge' was run on 19th October 2005, with
journeys was from Hazel Grove to the UoM Visitor Centre. Here's the results:

  1.             Motorcyle: 32 mins, UKP 3.00 cost
  2.                 Cycle: 45 mins, UKP 0.27 cost
  3. Train/147 shuttle bus: 50 mins, UKP 2.25 cost
  4.                   bus: 64 mins, UKP 0.82 cost
  5.                   car: 71 mins, UKP 5.04 cost

 Pollution?: 
  1.                  cycle: no emissions
  2=. Train/147 shuttle bus: 49g/passenger km
  4=.        car/motorcycle: joint last (no figure given)

 Stress?: car: most stressful (dont know measure)
